For the trekking tour the following items are essential:
- Good walking shoes
- Warm jacket and clothes (nights can be very chilly)
- Sarong and towels
- First aid kit
- Mosquito repellent
- Mosquito net
(1) Kalaw – Indein Trekking (02 Days- 01 Nights)
Day 1 : Kalaw - La-Mie - Kone Hla - Pauk Tu
After breakfast at hotel, drive from Kalaw to La-Mie about 1 hour, then start trekking from La-Mie village and visit around. Then proceed to Kone-Hla and lunch at Kone-Hla. On the trekking way, you can see various ethnic tribes such as Pa-O, Taung-Yo and Bamar and the plantations of vegetables. After lunch, continue to Pauk-Tu and stay overnight at Pauk-Tu village monastery with simple accommodation.
Day 2 : Pauk Tu - Htee -Tain - Yay Ni - Myay Phyu - Taung Mauk – Indein
After breakfast at Pauk-Tu monastery, start trekking to Htee-Tain village, Yay-Ni village, Myay-Phyu village, Taung-Mauk village. End at Indein village and go back to your hotel by boat.
(2) Full day Trekking
If you like to make full day trek, you will see two palaung villages and such as a nice landscape and pass through Rain Forest . It will be (21 Km ) more or less six hours without break . We can start 8:00 am (or ) 8:30 am after breakfast at your hotel . It will take two and half hours to the first Palaung village. There are so many Tea plantations and some hillside cultivation on the way. When we arrive at the village, first we go and visit a village elementary school . You will see how the children are study at a small school, then we pass through a village and how they make black tea .After that stop on a family house , you will see how the people living life style and continue to the second village . It will take half and hours, there and break on a family house taking tea and see their traditional costume who wearing Palaung women on their house . After that continue to the View Point where we lunch break over there , its about 1450 m above sea level , about 150m heighter than Kalaw which is the most beautiful landscape over there . After lunch we will pass through in the jungle or Rain Forest and go and visit Reservoir in the middle of Rain Forest on the way back to Kalaw . It will be ( 21 Km ) more or less six hours without break . Which is a beautiful full day trek around Kalaw.
(3) Half Day Trekking
If you would like to make half day trek, you will see 2 hill tribes & two villages . After breakfast around 8:00 am (or ) 8:30 am , we take by car near the Danu village ( Myin Ga ) it will take half and hour , we will pass through a beautiful village . There are so many plantation such as Ginger , Califlower , Cabbages and some others . After that continue to Palaung village there are so many tea plantation and orange plantation on the way. We have a break on a family house and lunch there. You will see how Palaung women weaving, making a shoulder bag or longgyie ( Sarong ). Then back to Kalaw .Its will take one hour to get main road and take a car for the way back to your hotel. Which is a beautiful half day trek around Kalaw.
(4) Night Trekking (2 Days / 1Night)
Day 1 : Pindaya - A Lal Gu - Htut Ni - See Kyat Inn - Yatsakyi Village
After breakfast at hotel, start trekking from hotel in Pindaya to A-Lal Gu (Middle cave), Htut-Ni village and Lunch at See Kyat Inn village. On the trekking way, in the Da-Nu self-administered zone, you can see the ethnic groups such as Da-Nu, Taung Yoe and Pa-O the plantation of potato, ginger, onion and cabbage. Then proceed a walk and stay overnight at Yatsakyi Village with simple accommodation.
Day 2 : Yatsakyi Village - Lin Lee Inn - Shwe Pen - Taung Paung Gyi – Pindaya
After breakfast, start trekking from Yattsakyi Village to Lin Lee Inn Village, Shaw pen village, Taung Paung Gyi village. Then proceed to Pindaya and stay overnight at hotel in Pindaya.
